First Descents of the Phung River, Tibet

The Phung Qu is the headwaters of Nepal's famous Sun Kosi River. It drains the north side of Mt. Everest and is one of the few rivers to cross the Himalaya massif.

The canyon of the Phung immediately above the confluence with the Rong Qu is un-runnable.
